The Little Black Dress (or LBD) is a classic . Little Basic Dress is the LBD in colors!
YOU get at least 12 different dress patterns in this Mitch & Match pattern:
You choose a bodice:
- Sweetheart neckline
- Low cut V-back
And pair with a skirt:
- Pencil skirt
- A-line skirt
- Circle skirt
To create the version YOU prefer.
The dress is designed for woven fabric and can be fully lined.
Sewing Pattern: Little Basic Dress
The pattern sheet comes in several different formats:
- Print-at-home letter/A4
- Print-at-home A3(11")
- Large format (copy shop) in layered 36" roll, or layered A0 (perfect for projectors!)!
The patterns come in size 34 - 54 and have seam & hem allowances included!
The little basic dress was designed for woven fabrics. We have sewn it using very different types and weights such as cotton sateen, wool georgette, and coated polyester. There are so many options with this pattern.
Apart from the fabric, you will need:
Interfacing for the facings and for installing the zipper
An invisible zipper 60 cm / 24 inches long
The fabric amount needed for the dress depends on which version and how long you decide to make your dress. The pattern was drafted for a person that is 168 cm (5’ 6”) tall. But it also depends on many other factors: The fabric width, any design changes, and if you use fabric with direction. And of course, if you choose to line the dress or not.
